Abstract

This research was conducted because of the moral degradation among children that is increasingly worrying the nation. In accordance with what was decided by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education, the background of the author's interest in conducting more in-depth research related to efforts to form students' religious character at SD Mumtaz Sidoarjo. The research approach used is qualitative. The collection techniques used are interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The subjects in this study were the principal, Waka Ismuba, and class teachers. The findings of this study indicate that the efforts made by schools in shaping religious character through Dhuha prayer habituation are by allocating special time for the Dhuha prayer program. Through this program, it shows the formation of religious character which is shown in obedience to worship, responsibility and order.
