Application of Trichoderma Sp on Rice Plants (Oryza sativa L.) in Marginal Wetlands

This study investigates the impact of Trichoderma biofertilizer, formulated with organic cow dung, on the vegetative growth of rice plants. Conducted from October 2023 to February 2024 in Penambangan village, Balongbendo-Sidoarjo, it employed a Split Plot Design. The main plot variable was the dose of Trichoderma-cow dung biofertilizer (0, 5, 10, and 15 tons/ha), and the subplot variable was canopy spraying (with or without biofertilizer). Control variables included plant height, number of leaves, and number of tillers. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and Duncan's test. Results showed that Trichoderma biofertilizer significantly enhanced plant growth, with a 15 tons/ha dose increasing height, leaf number, and tiller number by 80% compared to the control. Canopy spraying did not significantly affect growth. The study concludes that Trichoderma biofertilizer with cow dung is a promising environmentally friendly fertilizer.
