Pondok Pesantren Wali Barokah, an Islamic educational institution in Kediri, Indonesia, faces significant challenges in teaching Ilmu Faraid (Islamic inheritance law) to its students. This study aims to identify the obstacles encountered by students in learning Ilmu Faraid and to propose solutions to enhance the learning process. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis with students and teachers at the institution. The findings reveal that traditional and less interactive teaching methods, limited teaching materials, and difficulties in understanding Arabic texts are major obstacles. These challenges have led to decreased comprehension of the subject matter and diminished student motivation. The study highlights the need for more adaptive and responsive teaching strategies, including the use of educational technology and practical teaching aids, to improve the effectiveness of Ilmu Faraid instruction and better equip students to apply this knowledge in their daily lives according to Islamic principles.
