Abstract

Sepsis can be defined as organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. Early identification in the diagnosis of sepsis is crucial for appropriate management. Delays in the diagnosis and treatment of severe sepsis, septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction, or even death can occur. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is the most severe and common comorbidity in sepsis. Procalcitonin (PCT), Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), and C-reactive protein (CRP) are important markers of sepsis. This study aims to determine the relationship between PCT, NLR, and CRP in sepsis patients with acute kidney injury. The study was conducted at the Central Laboratory Installation of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang from January to May 2024. This observational analytic study used 30 samples. The data were tested using Pearson correlation and it was found that there is a correlation between procalcitonin and NLR (p=0.017; r=0.434), a correlation between procalcitonin and CRP (p=0.027; r=0.403)
