Manufacturing engineering encompasses product design, production processes, and production system management, integrating industrial engineering and mechanical engineering. Product design and manufacturing processes are adopted from engineering mechanics, while system management originates from industrial engineering. This research focuses on determining the machining processes to maintain product quality and the production costs for a potato cutter machine, limited to the planning stage with new equipment and machining time calculations. The research aims to plan the appropriate machining processes and determine the necessary production coast. The methods used involve collecting theories and data from books, articles, and proceedings. The research results indicate that the potato cutter machine consists of a frame, electric motor, gearbox, pulley, and cutting blade, each with specific functions. The total material cost for manufacturing this machine is Rp 2,518,500, with a production cost of Rp 3,453,125 per unit.
