Self Record Videos Posted on WhatsApp Group towards Students Speaking Skill

Abstract

This study discusses about self record videos posted on WhatsApp group for 9 grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. The method used pre-experimental with quantitative research design. The instrument used a speaking test. For data collection with pre-test and post-test. For data analysis used the paired sample T-test with SPSS. The mean score of pre-test was (49,5), while the mean score of post-test was (75,0). It shows that there are significant differences in the score results, mean of the post-test score is higher than the pre-test score. Based on the paired sample test, the results of using T-test its known that sig. (2-tailed) 0.000, while alpha (α) 0,05 (0,000<0,05), it means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that the use of self record videos posted on WhatsApp group has an significant effect in teaching speaking report text towards students speaking skill.
