Abstract

This study aims to understand the management of Al-Islam education learning within the Independent Curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. This research is qualitative with a descriptive approach conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. The research data includes teaching modules, lesson plans (RPP), and syllabi. Data sources for this research were obtained from informants or through observations and interviews involving the school principal, vice principal of curriculum, and Al-Islam education teachers. The Independent Curriculum, initiated by the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, provides flexibility to educational institutions in designing and implementing learning according to the characteristics and needs of students. The management of Al-Islam education learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan has been carried out in accordance with established learning procedures and runs well according to the predetermined learning objectives.
