Abstract

The study explores the use of the Cake application in improving vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Sidoarjo. The application, a mobile-assisted language learning tool, was evaluated compared to traditional methods. The results showed a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery among the experimental group, indicating its efficacy as an instructional tool. The study underscores the transformative role of educational technology in facilitating English vocabulary development and suggests the Cake application as a viable alternative to conventional methods, highlighting the potential of mobile applications in language teaching.
