This research was conducted because of the phenomenon of students who engage in a lot of academic procrastination. This research aims to determine the role of self-awareness in academic procrastination among FPIP students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational. The data collection technique in this research uses nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The total population in this study was 4097 students with a sample of 365 students. The data collection technique uses a Likert scale type, namely the academic procrastination scale and the self-awareness scale. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression with the help of JASP 0.16.4.0. Data analysis used simple regression analysis which showed the results F = 96.789 with a significance of <0.001. The results of this research reveal that there is an influence of self-awareness on academic procrastination of 24.8%.
