Abstract

Curriculum changes are closely related to current developments occuring in society, this cannot be separated from changes that occur as a result of globalization, developments in science and technology, as well as socio-cultural changes. These developments and changes can prepare students to face developments over time and face the challanges of changing times and face advances in knowledge technology in the future. This research aims to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of fifth grade students in the natural and social sciences (IPAS) at SDN Wedi, Gedangan, Sidoarjo, by using a role playing model. This research in classroom action research (PTK) for 2 cycles. The result of the research show that: 1) the introduction of the role playing model increases student motivation and, 2) it also increases IPAS learning from cycle I to cycle II.
