Emesis Gravidarum is the earliest effect of pregnancy. Predisposing factors include hormonal, psychosocial, occupational, parity, age and nutrition factors. Emesis gravidarum in primigravidas is 60-80%, in Indonesia is 10%. Anxiety in pregnancy can trigger digestive upset so nausea tend to be more severe when stress strikes. The purpose was to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and emesis gravidarum levels. The study used an analytic survey design with a cross sectional approach. Samples were 30 pregnant women with quota sampling technique. The instrument used the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) and PUQE-24. There is a relationship obtained from the Fisher Exact test P=0.006 <α 0.05, then H0 is rejected. The more severe the level of anxiety experienced, the more severe the level of emesis gravidarum. Suggestion for the health workers to approach and manage maternal anxiety so as not to exacerbate the symptomps of hyperemesis gravidarum.
