Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the items of Arabic language exams for 5th grade students at Sari Bumi Islamic Elementary School in Sidoarjo. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method to describe the quality of the items descriptively. The data consist of tabulated answers from the exams of 5th-grade students at Sari Bumi Islamic Elementary School in Sidoarjo. The data analysis methods include validity analysis, reliability analysis, difficulty level analysis, and item discrimination analysis. Based on the analysis, 20 items are found to be valid, while 5 items are considered invalid. Furthermore, the 20 valid items have a Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of 0.885. Among these, 17 items are categorized as easy, and 3 items are categorized as moderately difficult. Regarding item discrimination, 11 items are classified as having good discrimination, 5 items as fairly good, 3 items as moderate, and 6 items as poor discrimination.
