The Relationship Between Self-Concept and Self-Regulation in Learning in SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo Students

An important asset for students is to be able to maximize cognitive development and build a positive personal self. Self-regulation in learning is a strategy that can be used by students to survive in learning for a long time. Also supported by a positive self-concept, students will be more confident in their own abilities. This type of research is a correlational quantitative research. The research subjects were students of SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo with a total sample of 270 respondents. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The analysis technique uses the Pearson correlation test. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning. The results of this study indicate a positive relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning (r = 0.357; p > 0.05).
