This study aims to analyze whether self-efficacy can influence academic self-adjustment in new students from the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. This research employs a quantitative correlational research method to measure the relationship between two variables. The population in this study consists of new students at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo in the Faculty of Psychology and Education, with a total of 354 students. Subsequently, the Krejcie-Morgan table was used to determine a sample size of 181 students. Subjects were selected using accidental sampling. The measurement instruments used in this study are the self-efficacy scale and the academic self-adjustment scale, which were piloted and adapted to the research needs. This research employ simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy is positively related to academic self-adjustment and can make an effective contribution to academic self-adjustment by 8.2%.
