Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer and the composition of the planting media on the growth and yield of kitchen lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). This research method uses a factorial arranged in a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with three replications. The first factor is the dosage of NPK fertilizer with treatment K1 = no fertilizer, K2 = 50 gr/l, K3 = 100 gr/l, K4 = 150 gr/l. The second factor is the composition of the planting media with treatment P1 = completely black soil, P2 = Black soil + Manure (50:50), P3 = Black soil + Manure (25:75). The results showed that the NPK fertilizer treatment and the planting media composition treatment on lemongrass plants had an interaction on root length, root weight, wet weight and dry weight, while the planting media composition treatment had an effect on plant height and number of tillers.
