The Influence of Intensity Use of the Tiktok Application and Sosial Media on Phubbing Tendencies

Users of social media and other applications makes users feel at home in using applications and tends to have Phubbing behavior towards their environment. This study aims to determine the extent to which social media and Tiktok applications affect students to continue to survive with long-term use, causing Phubbing. Quantitative descriptive research model is used by using purposive sampling technique, while the data analysis technique uses validity, regression, and classical assumption test techniques. The population of this research is Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) students and the sample is 90 people. Based on the tests carried out, the results showed that the intensity of the use of Tiktok and social media had an effect on the phubbing behavior of Umsida students. Of the two research variables, the greatest influence is caused by the use of Tiktok, which is 70.3%, while the variable using social media gets 32% results.
