This Research video learning media is motivated by the low cognitive learning outcomes of students less enthusiastic about following the learning process, students tend to be passive and play because the methods used by teachers are less attractive to students. The purpose of this study was to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of social studies students, knowing the effect of learning media based on local wisdom SDN Rangkah Kidul. Researchers use quantitative with experimental type. The research design uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. Using saturated sampling. Data collection techniques are data collection techniques using pretest-posttest. The results showed there was an increase in cognitive learning outcomes social studies elementary school students SDN Rangkah Kidul. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that video learning media based on local wisdom is influential to improve cognitive learning outcomes social studies fourth grade elementary school students.
