Documentary films are an alternative solution to perpetuate cultural heritage for future generations and help ensure that cultural heritage is alive and valued by society in the future. The research method used in making Majapahit Inheritance Documentary Films is a documentary film that is observational mode, which in this documentary emphasizes aspects of observation and creation in the picture objectively about the reality facing the film. In this type of observational, filmmakers try not to get involved or penetration related to what is happening behind the scenes, so that the audience can feel the experience of watching absently. Based on discussions and research on the development of the Majapahit Inheritance Documentary Film, the following conclusions are obtained. Production planning for Cultural Heritage Documentary Films succeeded in using qualitative research methods that were descriptive in nature by carrying out stages according to planned demands such as pre-production, production and post-production stages.
