Currently what is happening in Madiredo village is a problem with the waste in Madiredo village, which can
reach 5 tons per day, you can imagine how much waste it takes in 1 month to handle it. To simplify the waste
recycling process, it is carried out in several steps, namely sorting, counting, washing and packing. The packing
process is constrained and less efficient when using manual or traditional tools. An optimal pressing mechanism is
needed to reduce the volume of waste in order to facilitate the packing process. The current solution is to make a
waste press machine that is cheap, efficient and powerful. This study aims to design a waste press machine,
especially plastic waste, used bottles and strong cardboard. The control system used is a push button and limit
switch and uses a 1 Hp AC motor.
