This study aims to determine the relationship between academic major satisfaction and academic adjustment in students. The population in this study were active students in the 2022-2023 academic year totaling 10,182. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling with accidental sampling type with a sample size of 370 based on the Krejie and Morgan table with an error rate of 5%. Data collection uses a five-item academic major satisfaction scale (α = 0.775) and a six-item academic adjustment scale (α = 0.642). Data analysis used Product Moment Spearman’s rho test with the help of SPSS 26.00 for windows. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between academic major satisfaction and academic adjustment in new students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (r = 0.531, p = 0.000 <0.05) where the higher the academic major satisfaction, the higher the academic adjustment and vice versa.
