Psychoeducation Skills Emotional Regulation on Junior High School Students

Adolescence is known as storm and stress. The ability to regulate emotions that take place inappropriately will make adolescents tend to follow their emotions in various actions that cause unwanted things that can harm the surrounding environment. Psychological skills will help students to improve their mental health. Psychoeducation provided knowledge and skills (role play) on emotion regulation methods with Expressive Writing and Breathing exercises which were attended by 47 students. Based on the analysis using the paired sample t test, the increase from the pretest value of 33,000 to 33,979 post-test calculations for understanding psychoeducational emotion regulation. Whereas in the Visual Scale Analoge (VSA) pre-test to measure emotion, which originally had an average of 3,340, it has decreased to 3,149. The results illustrate that psychoeducation is a skill for managing emotions capable of solving problems faced by junior high school students, especially for improving skills for managing emotions.
