This research was motivated by the low quality of scientific reasoning in elementary schools which caused researchers to look for solutions to improve the quality of elementary school scientific reasoning by using the Jigsaw II type of cooperative learning model. The purpose of this learning model is to determine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the scientific reasoning of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Pucang 4 Sidoarjo. This type of research uses quantitative research using a one group pretest-one posttest design experiment. The results of the normality test for the values of the experimental and control groups have a normal distribution of data, the homogeneity test shows that the data distribution is homogeneous, and the hypothesis test is that there is a very high influence in the Jigsaw Type II learning model on the reasoning abilities of fourth grade elementary school students in the independent curriculum.
