Open-STAD Learning Design (Student Teams Achievement Division) on Learning Outcomes of SMK (Vocational High School) Students

Most students cannot connect what they have learned and how to apply it this information in real situations. They are able to remember information well, but do not understand it well in depth the subjects studied. This study aims to compare student learning outcomes before and after being given the Open-STAD Learning Design treatment. This type of research uses quantitative research methods using a quasi-experimental design-One Group Pretest-Posttest. The subjects of this study were students of class X TKJ SMK totaling 14 students. The results showed that the application of the Open-STAD Learning Design to SMK students' learning outcomes have a significant effect on the percentage of completeness scores obtained in the pre-test the result is 39%, while the percentage of completeness of the post-test scores is 75%. It is recommended for future research to use a comparison class to see how much effective from the Open-STAD learning design.
