This study aims to determine the effect of using picture and picture models based on rotary wheel media on expository composing skills in class V SDN Gedangan. This type of research is a pre-experiment quantitative research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study is 25 grade V students of SDN Gedangan. This research data was obtained through documentation, and tests. Based on the analysis of the final results carried out, it can be seen that the percentage of student learning completeness shows that the ability to write expository essays of students after receiving treatment using picture and picture models can increase. The pretest results showed an average score of 70.6 students as many as 48% of students who were complete and 52% of students who were not complete. While the results of writing
