PT. INKA is a company engaged in the manufacturing of railroad cars. During the production process, there are often problems with machine damage. Based on company data from 2021 to 2022, milling machines are machines that have the most damage compared to other production machines, namely 43 times. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the six milling machines and to determine preventive maintenance recommendations through preventive replacement of components. The method used is the Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Age Replacement methods. The results of research conducted on the six milling machines obtained OEE values for CNC Plano 133 of 84.20% and Horizontal Milling 142 of 83.96%, so these machines do not meet the ideal OEE value. Furthermore, it was found that the time interval for component replacement on the Plano 133 and Horizontal Milling 142 CNC machines was within 10 days.
