The purpose of this research is to find out how anxiety indicators affect students' speaking ability, which causes students' difficulties in speaking English in the classroom. This study presents the results of observations and interviews conducted through qualitative descriptive research at Cendekia Junior High School, a bilingual school. 27 students and 1 English teacher participated in the study. The results showed that out of five indicators of anxiety, which were poor English language skills, unfamiliarity with tasks, lack of self-confidence, fear of making mistakes and incomprehensible contributions, the students felt only two anxiety, which are fear of problems and lack of self-confidence of themselves and the surrounding environment. With this, it also affects the performance of students to speak English with teachers and students. The researcher proposed to overcome students' anxiety about speaking English by organizing English day activities where students learn about the target language.
