Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of paper theater media on the storytelling ability of elementary school students in the process of learning Indonesian language storytelling material. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental model in the form of one group pre-test and post-test. The study population was 34 fourth grade students of SDN Watukosek. The sampling technique used a census sample. Data researchers use preparation in the form of observation, documentation and performance test analysis, using a rating scale where students perform tasks in the form of activities that can be observed by the teacher or researcher. This test is to measure students' skills on the competence of folklore practice using paper theater media using the assessment of linguistic and non-language aspects. Data analysis technique with pre-requisite test analysis of one-sample t-test.
