This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by concrete object media on the understanding of science concepts in V grade students at SDN Glagaharum. This type of research is an experiment (Pre-Experimental Design) using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was class VA students totaling 25 students. This study obtained the results of pretest and posttest data hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test which shows that the result is the value sig. 0,000 which means smaller or less than α 0,05 (0,000<0,05) . The results of pretest and posttest N-gain test show the average result obtained 0,57 which shows the magnitude of the effect 57% (moderate category). So, there is a significant effect of using the Discovery Learning model assisted by concrete object media on the understanding of science concepts in class V students at SDN Glagaharum.
