Maharah kalam is the most important skill in learning Arabic. In learning Maharah Kalam students are required to actively express things using Arabic. The type of this research is qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The purpose of this study is to find out how Maharah Kalam is taught, the factors of difficulties experienced by students and the efforts made to reduce these difficulties. From the results of the study it can be concluded that Maharah Kalam learning is carried out by practicing conversations in groups or in pairs. Maharah Kalam's learning difficulties are influenced by two factors, namely language which includes sound system, sentence structure and mufrodat, then non-linguistic factors which include students' educational background, environment and the lack of student interest and parental support. The efforts that have been made to overcome difficulties in learning Maharah Kalam are by carrying out BTQ activities.
