The life of the homeless shows quite interesting communication to study. This study aims to determine the communication patterns of the homeless in Sidoarjo City by using the theory of communication patterns (effendy), which uses one-way, two-way, and multi-way patterns. Research Using Qualitative Methods. This research uses Purposive Sampling Techniques. There were 3 informants because the main informant was a homeless person who could not be determined and was selected based on the characteristics of education, employment, age and physical condition. The type of data comes from primary data and secondary data and uses observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Research shows that there is a deliberate intention to stay on the side of the road because they are aware that there is additional income to be earned. Unwittingly, the homeless play the role of a communication pattern known as dramaturgy.
