Digital Literacy Skills of Elementary School Teachers on the North Coast of East Java

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the competence of teachers on the north coast of East Java towards digital literacy. Researchers used a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological research type. The results of this research regarding digital literacy of elementary school teachers are very good.  According to research from Dinata(Dinata, 2021) who adopted from Hague and Payton on students' digital literacy abilities using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and through a questionnaire obtained very good results, so that there are eight indicators of digital literacy for teachers including being able to operate digital media, be creative in digital spaces, collaborate in digital space, able to convey information or communicate, able to search for and select information, able to think critically and evaluate content, able to align social and cultural understanding with the presence of digital space, and able to implement internet security.
