Abstract

This study was to see the influence of microvideo media on the reading skills of grade III elementary school students totaling 24 students, all being sampled. Quantitative research uses experiments. The research method uses one group with pretest - posttest design, data collection technique in the form of an oral test with 5 components. Initial values (letter form 3.71word element3.21, spelling pattern3.21 and reading speed3.21) and values after treatment (letter form 3.79, word element3.79, spelling pattern3.29, and reading speed3.29) stated that there was an increase in the use of microvidio media. From the data above, it is concluded that the hypothesis test that has been carried out tcalculate = 4.082 and ttable = 2.069. So tcalculate > ttable. That H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the application of microvideo media on the reading skills of grade III students of SDI Muhammadiyah 1 Gempol has an effect.
