Abstract

In fact, it is possible that currently there are still many people who do not understand the Islamic Financial Institution system, let alone hear that Islamic Financial Institutions are very different from conventional banks. Even though the majority of Pasuruan people are Muslim, this does not guarantee that Islamic Financial Institutions will be the first choice. The purpose of this research is to find out how the influence of knowledge and the social environment on public perceptions of perceptions of Islamic Financial Institutions. The research method used is a quantitative research method. The population in this study is the community in Gempol Subdistrict as much as 130 719.00. The results of this study indicate that knowledge has a direct effect on people's perceptions (0.00 <0.05), the social environment has a direct effect on people's perceptions (0.00<0.05), and knowledge and the social environment simultaneously influences people's perceptions (0.00 <0.05).
