This study aims to identify the role of the teacher in environment-based learning at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi. This research method used qualitative research. In this study, the research subjects were fourth grade teachers at Muhammadiyah 1 Candi Elementary School. In this study, the informants in the research were class teachers who described the teacher's role in environment-based learning at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi. data collection techniques, namely interviews, documentation and observation by collecting data regarding documents used by teachers, students and teachers in classroom learning activities, these documents relate to the teacher's role in implementing the implementation of environmental education at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi. The research instrument was in the form of documentation sheets relating to the activities carried out by teachers, students and parents in the context of the teacher's role in implementing environmental education at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi.
