Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in character development among migrant early childhood children at the Muhammadiyah Guidance Center in Kampung Baru Malaysia. This study employed qualitative research with a case study approach, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model.

The research results show that teachers act as role models, motivators, facilitators, and reinforcers of character values ​​aligned with religious, cultural, and national teachings. This role is supported by teacher commitment, parental and community support, and the existence of studios as learning platforms. The impact of this guidance is evident in the formation of religious, social, and nationalistic values, as well as the strengthening of politeness and respect, which specifically serve as the primary foundation for the social and emotional character of migrant early childhood children.
