This study analyzes the lyrics of the song "The Apartment We Won't Share" by NIKI using Jacques Derrida's deconstruction approach. The song offers a symbolic narrative of failed hopes and relationships. Derrida's différance approach is used to reveal the ambivalence of meaning, such as in the symbol "apartment, we won't share," which goes beyond physical space to represent failed dreams and relationships. The study uses the deconstruction method, the analysis is carried out through three stages: text description, construction, and deconstruction of meaning. The results emphasize the importance of deconstruction in understanding the complex layers of meaning in popular music, while challenging the traditional way of understanding song lyrics. This study provides new contributions to literary studies, especially in the analysis of song lyrics as verbal works of art. This study is relevant for the younger generation because it explores the emotional and social depths contained in modern musical works.
