This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulation on preschool children's school readiness. The study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design and involves preschool children aged 5–6 years in Sidoarjo Regency. Self-regulation was measured using the Children Self-Regulation scale, while school readiness measured using a school readiness scale. The instruments were tested using the pilot test technique, which showed that the self-regulation instrument had a Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.839, the school readiness instrument had a reliability of 0.975. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression. The results showed that self regulation had a positive and significant effect on preschool children's school readiness with an F significance <0.05, as well as a contribution of 9.3%. These findings indicate that self-regulation is one of the factors contributing to preschool children's school readiness, although there are other factors outside the scope of this study that also influence.
