Abstract

The development of the logistics industry demands a fast, accurate, and easily accessible shipment tracking system. However, many shipping companies still conduct tracking manually, resulting in less than optimal information for customers. This study aims to design and build a web-based shipment tracking information system to improve service quality. The development method used is Waterfall, including the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed using React.js as the user interface, Node.js as the backend, and SQLite as the database. The main features provided include shipment data management, status updates by admin and courier, status search based on receipt number, and automatic delivery note generation. Black Box testing of six main features showed that all functions run according to specifications and produce accurate output.
