Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) and its impact on the fulfillment of lecturer competencies at STAI Ali bin Abi Thalib Surabaya. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through document analysis, interviews, and observations. The findings indicate that IQAS has been implemented through the PPEPP cycle (Establishment, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement). The implementation of IQAS has a positive impact on lecturers’ professional and social competencies, particularly in increasing research productivity and strengthening inter-unit collaboration. Although most lecturer competency standard indicators have been implemented, their achievement has not yet fully met the established standards. In practice, IQAS implementation requires continuous strengthening of control and quality improvement aspects to optimize the fulfillment of lecturer competency standards
