Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in optimizing individual potential as a whole, covering intellectual, moral, social, and spiritual aspects, in order to form competitive and strong-characterized human beings. In the context of Islamic education, the concept developed by Zakiah Daradjat emphasizes the importance of balance between academic aspects, character building, and mental health of students. This study aims to examine the concept of Islamic education based on mental health according to Zakiah Daradjat and its relevance in facing the psychological challenges of the younger generation. The method used in this study is a literature study (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach, analyzing various literature and thoughts of related figures. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the development of a more holistic Islamic education model, by integrating spiritual and psychological aspects in order to create balanced and resilient individuals in facing the dynamics of modern life.
