This study aims to determine the form of application of the Picture Description game and its effectiveness in teaching Arabic to Grade VIII students at the El-Haq Modern Islamic Boarding School in Jombang. This study is important considering the many problems faced by students who are reluctant to speak Arabic even though they have mastered a lot of vocabulary. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research design and a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The main data in this study were obtained through tests (pre-test and post test), observation, and documentation. The results of descriptive analysis T-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a calculated t-value of -6.008, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this study shows that the picture description game is effective in improving the speaking skills students at El-Haq Modern Islamic Boarding School in Jombang.
