Abstract

Academic procrastination is the tendency of students to delay academic tasks, which affects academic performance and psychological well-being. This behavior is influenced by various internal factors, including self-efficacy and adversity quotient. This study aims to determine the influence of self-efficacy and adversity quotient on academic procrastination among students at muhammadiyah university sidoarjo. The study was designed using a quantitative correlational approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 263 students was selected from a population of 8,149 students using simple random sampling. The instruments used included three psychological scales: the self-efficacy scale (35 items), the adversity quotient scale (24 items), and the academic procrastination scale (25 items). All three scales used a likert scale and had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous and partial effects of the two independent variables on the dependent variable.
