Abstract

This research aims to design an efficient and safe meatball printing machine by implementing an Arduino Uno-based safety system. The design was carried out using SolidWorks 2024 to model the structure and analyze its strength through von Mises stress, Displacement, Strain, and Safety Factor simulations. The safety system was developed using an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect the presence of the operator, and is equipped with a servo-based automatic printing and cutting mechanism. The analysis results show that the 20×20×1.5 mm hollow frame is able to withstand loads of up to 30 kg with a minimum safety factor value of 1.528 so it is declared safe. The application of Arduino Uno and the HC-SR04 sensor successfully increases operator protection through automatic distance detection. Thus, the resulting design meets the aspects of efficiency, relaxation, and work safety.
