This study aims to develop a pop-up book as a learning medium for teaching Arabic, specifically reading skills (maharah qirā’ah), to eleventh-grade students at MA Islamiah Tanggulangin. The research applied a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. At the development stage, the media underwent validation by material experts, media experts, and an Arabic teacher, followed by a limited trial with students. Validation results indicated an average score of 97.33%, categorized as very valid. Student responses during the trial also demonstrated high practicality, with positive feedback on readability, attractiveness, clarity, and motivational impact. These outcomes show that the pop-up book is feasible as an alternative medium for qirā’ah instruction. It effectively supports comprehension of Arabic texts, increases engagement, and fosters motivation. Thus, this development offers an innovative solution to address the shortcomings of conventional media and enhance Arabic learning quality in Madrasah Aliyah.
