Efektivitas Komunikasi Kelompok Terhadap Etika Kesopanan Siswa Kelas 7 SMPN 1 Sedati

Character education is essential for students to interact and collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. It does not only focus on academic intelligence but also instills strong moral values and social ethics. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group communication on students’ politeness ethics at SMPN 1 Sedati, grade VII. The research uses a quantitative method with 372 respondents selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation, then analyzed with simple linear regression. The results indicate a significant influence between group communication and politeness ethics (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with an (R) value of 0.554 and a contribution of 30.7%. The regression equation obtained is Y = 18.704 + 0.631X. Thus, hypothesis one (H1) is accepted, proving that the effectiveness of group communication significantly affects the politeness ethics of grade VII students at SMPN 1 Sedati.
