Abstract

PT. Varia Usaha Beton is a company engaged in concrete production and construction, providing various concrete products such as ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, mansory concrete (tiles, paving), as well as construction services and equipment rental. Based on the company's internal data, the defect rate of flat roof tile products was recorded to show a fairly high number of defects with a value reaching 3% in June, July and 4% in August, this number exceeds the defect standard of 1% per month. This study aims to determine the factors that have a significant influence and the optimal combination of settings by applying taguchi. From the results of the study, the factors that have a significant influence are water (L) and curing time (D). The optimal settings obtained are A1 (water 0.36 L), B3 (mixed composition S: P of 1: 3.5), C3 (compaction pressure 22 Mpa) D3 (48 hours).
