Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using interactive media based on the snakes and ladders game in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Kramat Jegu 2 Elementary School. The study used a qualitative method with observation and interview techniques with PAI teachers and students. The snakes and ladders media was modified in such a way that each game box contained questions related to the subject matter, specifically Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13 and the hadith about diversity. The results showed that the use of this media was able to increase student interactivity, enthusiasm, and participation in the learning process. Students felt more enthusiastic because they learned while playing in groups, so that the classroom atmosphere became more conducive and enjoyable. The snakes and ladders media is considered effective as an alternative creative learning that can be applied in elementary schools to increase student learning motivation.
