This study aims to determine the effect of online game playing intensity on academic procrastination in students. The background of this study stems from the phenomenon of the prevalence of academic task-managing behavior that has the potential to reduce student achievement and well-being. The study used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 399 FPIP students at a private university in Sidoarjo, East Java. The research instrument used two scales: the online game playing intensity scale and the academic procrastination scale, both of which have been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a positive and significant effect between online game playing intensity and academic procrastination. This means that the higher the intensity of students' online gaming, the higher their tendency to procrastinate academic tasks. This finding demonstrates the importance of time management and self-control in digital activities to prevent disruption to students' academic responsibilities.
