Abstract

This research aims to look at the role of Facebook as a reference medium for purchasing electronic goods for students of the Communication Science Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (UMSIDA). Social media is a web-based platform that allows clients to associate, share data, and create content cooperatively. Facebook has become a popular online entertainment platform among students and is commonly used for a variety of purposes, including as a source of data about electronic items. The strategy used in this exploration is a clear subjective strategy with information gathering methods such as perception, meetings and documentation. The research results show that the majority of UMSIDA Communication Science Study Program students use Facebook.
