Relationship between School Well-Being and Achievement Motivation in Vocational High School Students

The population of this study was 180 vocational students. The research sample consisted of 119 students selected by proportional random sampling technique. The achievement motivation scale in this study refers to McClelland's achievement motivation aspect adopted from Sinurat's research with a reliability coefficient of 0.985. While the school well-being scale uses aspects of school well-being Alanen, Konu and Rimpela adopted from Kalsum's research with a reliability coefficient of 0.851. Data analysis was performed with Pearson's Product Moment correlation test. Result of the analysis showed that the correlation coeffisien was 0.448 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05) so that the hypothesis test in this study was accepted, namely there was a relationship between school well-being and achievement motivation. The effect of school well-being variables on achievement motivation was 20.1%. Thus there is an influence from other factors to achievement motivation by 79.9%.
